Soaring thefts force WA mandarin grower to close roadside stall after 17 years

A fruit grower in WA's South West is closing his seasonal roadside produce stall after 17 years, citing an "insane" rise in thefts.

The owner of a local online directory for roadside stalls said many others had shut up shop for similar reasons.

Stall owner Bruce Crain said he would look at ways of preventing theft at his mandarin stall next season.
