A 14-year-old motorcycle rider is fighting for his life in hospital after a collision during an event in Victoria's west on Saturday morning.
The boy was flown to hospital with life-threatening injuries after a crash at the Horsham Motorcycle Club's Dooen track.
"Emergency services responded to a motorcycle incident in Dooen," a Victoria Police spokesperson said.
"It is believed the rider came off his motorbike at a motocross complex on the Henty Highway about 10am."
The Horsham Motorcycle Club said they believed the boy was injured when his bike collided with another motorcycle after completing a jump.
The Victorian Junior State Titles are being held at the track this weekend.
The teenager remains in a critical condition in hospital.
Victoria Police said WorkSafe has been notified about the incident which was not being investigated by police.
"The Junior MX State Titles were conducted as per motorcycling sport regulations," a spokesperson for Motorcycling Victoria said.
"All incidents, no matter their gravity, are documented and reviewed accordingly, and this is ongoing as per standard protocol."
