Are you getting the aged care reform you were promised?
In 2021 the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety released its final report after more than 10,000 submissions revealed the system was fundamentally failing — marked by widespread neglect, substandard care, and systemic disregard for the dignity of older Australians.
The royal commission was announced by then-prime minister Scott Morrison the day before Four Corners aired a two-part series following a crowdsourced investigation.
During that project we received thousands of submissions from families, staff and insiders, including hundreds of hours of video.
Now that the government has introduced "once-in-a-generation reforms" in response to the royal commission we want to hear from you again.
We're launching an investigation asking you — those navigating the aged care system and their supporters, advocates, providers, staff and insiders — to help the ABC understand if the government's promise of reform has been delivered.
